CRASHMAT KIDS sessions are drop-in sessions for little ones, who are newly walking, up to 4 yrs. These sessions are 45 minutes and require full parental participation to support your child as they navigate their way around the gym. Children can explore soft, large equipment, circuits, trampolines, beams, and bars while learning gym skills as they go. They will become familiar with Bigairs amazing coaches, gain confidence in the gym environment, and learn the crucial fundamentals of movement. The sessions provide an excellent introduction to gymnastics and prepare children for Bigair Gyms 3&4 year old Pocket Rocket gym classes, where they can really benefit. Children can improve their balance, coordination, and spatial awareness while having fun in a safe and supportive environment.

One advantage of Bigairs Crashmat Kids sessions is that you can attend any of the scheduled sessions at any Bigair location on the days that suit you. There’s no need to pre-book. You’re welcome to arrive at any of the sessions and pop into the Bigair office to sort out your one-off visit up arrival, or you can purchase a 10-trip Concession Card to make future visits great value and super easy. This flexibility allows you to fit the Crashmat Kids sessions into your schedule, so make the most of this offer and pop along to a Crashmat Kids session when it suits you and your little one.

POCKET ROCKETS classes are for 3 and 4 year olds, and are full term, weekly gym classes which run for 45 minutes. Pocket Rockets are structured classes, led by experienced and passionate Bigair Gym coaches. These classes require no parental participation, as children are encouraged to learn independently with their coach. The class begins with a warmup activity and stretches, and then children will learn specific gymnastics skills, while moving around various gym apparatus with their coach.

Child learn fundamental movement patterns, develop strength, flexibility, balance, body-awareness, and personal confidence while having fun! The children progress through a 1-10 level gym programme that allows them to recognize their progress and achievement. Children are rewarded with a gym badge as each level is achieved.

At Bigair, our coaches run a structured gym programme, and children are encouraged to take part in the class independently without their parents or caregivers. Experience has shown that children achieve much more and try more things when learning independently with a coach. We do encourage parents to stay with their child until their child is ready to take part in the class independently, but the rewards gained from this point on are amazingly beneficial!

Pocket Rocket Classes also provide excellent preparation for school by encouraging children to learn increased concentration, self-confidence, communication, articulation, following instructions, taking risks, trying new things, responding to feedback, working in a group, and developing the confidence to learn independently.

GRAVITY BUSTERS classes focus on the teaching of gymnastics and developing fundamental movement patterns. The classes run for 60 minutes and are structured to include warmups, stretches, and a range of apparatus. The age range is 5–15 years, allowing families to bring their children of varying ages to one class. Children are grouped by age and skill levels during the apparatus section of this class. Selected Bigair Gyms also offer 5-7 year old classes.

Bigairs dynamic gym programme covers levels 1–10, each level providing new challenges. As children progress through the levels, they develop skills across Floor, Vault, Bars and Beam. Children develop fitness, body awareness, strength, flexibility, balance, and improve self-esteem, pride, and self-confidence as they master skills. This class offers a high level of coaching, a safe environment for kids to learn challenging gym skills and a whole lot of fun!

Gymnastics offers a lot of personal development for children. They face new challenges and learn new skills, developing a positive attitude towards the learning process that often spills over into their approach to learning at school. They learn to reflect on their progress, to be persistent, determined, and not to give up and keep trying until they achieve their goals. The pride and sense of achievement attained through this learning process is significantly beneficial for children’s education and a lifetime of success!

TEAM EXTREME class is an advanced gymnastics class designed for athletes who have previous gymnastics experience and are ready for further challenge. This class runs for 60 or 90 minutes, depending on which session is booked. The Team Extreme programme is much more advanced than the Gravity Busters programme and works well as an extension for those who have already achieved Gravity Busters badge 8+. Athletes will be taught more advanced skills and perform a combination of skills on the gym apparatus, including Floor, Vault, Bar and Beam. This class is perfect for athletes who are looking to extend their skills and perform more challenging and fun gymnastics maneuvers across a wide range of apparatus.

Similar to Gravity Busters classes, children develop fitness, body awareness, strength, flexibility, balance, and improve self-esteem, pride, and self-confidence as they master skills. This class offers a high level of advanced coaching, a safe environment for kids to learn challenging gym skills and a whole lot of fun!

FREE RUNNING classes are designed for kids 5 years and above. Children often start at 5 years old and continue with this class well into their teens. Bigair also offers an Advanced Free Running class that challenges and extends mature teens who have mastered the Free Running programme.

Free Running classes are similar to parkour but also include learning to do flips. These classes are full term, weekly gym classes that run for 60 minutes. Free Running classes are structured and led by experienced and passionate Bigair Gym coaches. Free Running is a high energy and fast-paced class that teaches children to move their bodies through obstacles and spaces without limitation, and to get from one place to another in a creative, skillful, fun, and safe way.

Using acrobatics, gymnastics, and tumbling techniques, athletes develop fitness, strength, agility, coordination, and skilled and controlled body awareness. Skills involve a wide range of vaulting, flips, rolling, spinning, hanging, jumping, and swinging. The athletes learn skills by working through Bigair Gyms unique Free Running Programme, consisting of levels 1-10. This covers skills such as wall flips, palm spins, barrel rolls, kongs and wall running. Bigair creates a safe environment for athletes to try new tricks and practice the art of Free Running while having fun!

Does your child love doing cartwheels, flips, handstands, or walkovers? Children love to experiment with these skills at home on the trampoline or on the grass during lunch breaks, but it is recommended that they attend a tumble class to learn safe and correct techniques. These 60 minute classes teach skills such as cartwheels, walkovers, round offs, handsprings, flick flacks (back handspring), forward and backward somersaults, back tucks, and twisting. The advantage of taking a tumbling class is that children can set goals and work towards achieving them in a fun and safe environment. Tumbling athletes develop a lot of courage and determination as they strive to achieve new and complex tumbling skills and a great sense of pride and achievement comes with achieving these goals.

New enrollments must be 7 years or older and able to competently perform a handstand, cartwheel, and bridge. Alternatively, if an athlete does not have these skills, we recommend they attend a Gravity Busters class.

The routines consist of trampolining skills, which are performed sequentially and follow a 1-10 level programme, becoming more complex and challenging with each progressive level. These classes are designed for children 5yrs and above. Children love learning trampolining skills and tricks, and the fitness benefits of a class like this are so valuable!

Trampoline classes are a great way to learn a variety of rotating, jumping, and tumbling skills in a lightweight and safe environment. These classes run for 60 minutes and focus on safety and technique, covering skills starting with drops and jump combinations, and progressing to more advanced skills such as summersaults and twisting. Trampoline classes are excellent for fun and fitness, allowing children to advance at their own pace while working with a coach!

Children who enjoy playing on trampolines will love learning skills in trampoline classes, which they can then practice further at home. Trampolining helps develop flexibility, strength, core engagement and form, body awareness, self-confidence, and a sense of achievement. Recreational Cheerleading is available for children aged 5 years and above, focusing on developing the fundamentals and basic skills of Cheerleading including stunting, tumbling, jumps, dance, motions, strength, and flexibility. Children who enjoy dance, gymnastics and tumbling will love this class! The class runs for 60 minutes, including warm up, stretch, focused time learning skills and drills, the fundamentals of Cheerleading, and a stretch and warm down to finish.

Cheerleading is all about working together and being part of a team. Children learn about teamwork and make new friends. Cheerleading builds self-esteem and confidence, and children have fun at the same time! Cheerleading also improves performance skills, as they work on mini routines that include acrobatics, tumbling, and dancing. Cheerleading builds physical strength and fitness, and athletes learn about their own personal strength and valued contribution through this sport.

Recreational Cheerleading classes often serve as an entry point for aspiring new athletes, who develop a passion for this amazing sport and progress onto Bigairs competitive teams.
